As the cost of health care and health insurance continues to spiral upward, the federal health reform law encourages the development of ACOs as a way to contain costs and provide better care. Governor Patrick’s health care payment reform proposal for global payment echoes the theme of imposing powerful financial incentives for hospitals, physicians and other providers to coordinate more comprehensively and provide more effective care. Providers across the Commonwealth and throughout the nation are seeking innovative ways to achieve better alignment and clinical integration and respond to these economic imperatives.

The Spring Program keynote speakers from other parts of the country will share their experiences and success stories in meeting the challenges of clinical integration and responding to the changing payment system landscape. The reactor panel will share their insights as local thought leaders.
